D.O.T push in tube fitting female elbow has a push-to-connect tube connection on one end and a female National Pipe Taper (NPT) thread on the other end for connecting to male threaded pipes at 90-degree angles. The female thread is fixed. When installing, ensure tubing ends are cut squarely and free from burrs; to remove, hold down the top of the insert against the fitting body then pull out the tubing. This D.O.T push to connect fitting meets Department of Transportation (DOT) FMVSS 571.106 technical specifications. These D.O.T push in fittings are intended for use in pneumatic circuits for truck and trailers : air suspension, braking systems, transmissions, locking doors and windows, seat adjustment, instrumentation, air conditioning systems, horn, wiper motors, valves, cylinders and accessories. Accommodate inch tubing O.D ranging from 5/32″ to 1/2″. Thread sizes range is from 10-32 UNF, 1/8 NPT to 1/2 NPT.
